5 Wireless Apps for transfer files from PC to tablets and smartphones

Transfer files from PC to smartphones and tablets is obviously very important and need not negligible discomfort that sometimes we encounter transferring files via the USB cable. It is for this reason that there are alternative software which lets you copy files of significant size (maybe that is inconvenient to transfer via the cloud) in alternative methods to the usual cable.

5 Wireless File Transfer Apps

If you find this book interesting do not miss even the previous appointments.

1. Ftp Server

FTP server is perhaps the most application that we used in preparing to transfer files on smartphones, a little 'out of habit and a bit' for simplicity. Of all the methods is that perhaps requires a minimum of technical knowledge, as it requires installation on a PC FTP client (eg Filezilla), or to use the file manager of the computer using the advanced options. Assumes that the two devices are on the same network. The interface is essential and the options are complete for its use.

18MB transfer speed: 8 seconds

Pros: Simple and foolproof.
Cons: Not for novice users.

2. Droid Over WiFi

Another program from disarming ease. Just a Touch (obviously you have to be connected to the same WiFi network) and you are ready to access the memory of your smartphone. However, this time via a browser (we tried Chrome and Firefox). The simpler version of FTP, but even here the interface is not just for novices. After pressing Home you will be taken to the mass memory, where you can transfer your data, even with a drag and drop.

18MB transfer speed: 7 seconds

Pros: No need for other software.
Cons: Not the most intuitive selection.

3. WebSharing Lite

The third software this week from its simplicity. Like the previous exploits the browser of the PC to exchange files and then there will be no need for any additional programs. It is perhaps more intuitive and always supports drag and drop of files. It also offers some basic information on your smartphone. There is a pro version that allows you to navigate between photos directly and listen to music and watch videos on your phone.

18MB transfer speed: 7 seconds

Pros: The paid version offers exclusive features.
Cons: The lite version is a bit 'skinny.

4. AirDroid

AirDroid is probably the most popular software in this list, and for good reason. AirDroid is in fact much more than a simple software to transfer files wirelessly. However, by focusing on the "need" this week we see how the software actually does not offer any additional feature of the competition.

Transfer rate 18MB: 9/2

Pros: Much more than a simple software to transfer files.
Cons: The transfer function file and the file manager are "heavier".

5. Samba Filesharing for Android

The latest software is perhaps the most powerful but also the most complicated to use. Samba Filesharing allows you to share your Android smartphone into the network, allowing you to mount it to your computer (any operating system) so that it is seen as a network drive. The interface is easy to understand and above all requires root permissions. For true geeks.

18MB transfer speed: 8 seconds

Pros: Much more than a simple software to transfer files. Cons: The transfer function file and the file manager are "heavier".
